Roadmap

What we are building

One feature is in progress. The list under it is the order, not a set of dates. This page changes when that order changes.

Now

  1. SessionGuard

    Multi-platform SessionGuard

Bring SessionGuard to Windows, macOS, and Linux with the same behaviour and feature set. Planning and implementation start here; this is the studio's first automatic queue item.

Next

  1. SnappyZones

    Multi-platform SnappyZones

Bring SnappyZones to Windows, macOS, and Linux with the same zoning behaviour and feature set. Windows has FancyZones; many people never find it. SnappyZones ships the same product on every platform. Work starts after SessionGuard multi-platform ships.

  2. SnappyZones

    Move to a chosen display

A status-menu submenu lists connected monitors by name and sends the front window to the selected display. Move to Next Display remains for cycling left to right.

  3. SnappyZones

    Snap Window…

Place the front window into a zone of the Active Layout from the menu or an optional shortcut. Click a cell or press Return. Escape leaves the window where it is.

  4. SnappyZones

    Undo Last Snap

Restore the last successfully snapped window to the size and place it had before that snap. One step. Disabled if that window is gone.

  5. SnappyZones

    Pause Snapping

Stop the zone overlay while you drag, without quitting. Switch Layout and Move to Next Display still work. Turn it off when you want to snap again.

  6. SnappyZones

    Ignore apps

Pick apps in Preferences that never show zones and never snap. Everything else behaves as today.

  7. SnappyZones

    Copy layout to another display

In the Zone Editor, copy the grid you see onto another connected monitor as a new layout. The source display stays unchanged.
